I am mostly a bass fisherman who only uses baitcasters. Want a good medium priced ultra lite spinning combo for crappie and bream. Any suggestions?

I know it's not truly an ultra light but I've boated thousands of crappie on a 6 1/2 foot Berkley Lighting rod in med. lt. action. I generally use a Quantum St 3f spinning reel . This reel has a self centering bail which expedites casting or shooting docks.Caught a limit on lanier last week using this outfit. good luck

Lanier Crappie from GEORGIA says Lanier Crappie?
I have gotten skunked my last 4 trips on Lanier. Any tips would be GREATLY Appreciated. I can't seem to get it right no matter what I do. Anyone, Anyone, Buehler Buehler!Does the south end just suck for crappie?

PW, I got a Bass Pro Wally Marshall 5'6 rod for xmas. It works fine. I probably would have went for the 6 to 6.5 myself, but it's not a bad little rod. I think they go for 30?? dollars. I put a Shimano Symetre reel on it. SWEEET!!I swapped out a 11 ft. crappie pole for a 9 ft'r. I really like the 9 ft rod. Much easier to control.
