Rated:

I have several of pre-Rapala short warts and rarely used them. Not only that, never caught one on it. how many different sizes do they have? Are they any good?

   Short Wart from g2072  11/15/2010 11:02:36 AM
I have a few that I don't fish. I'm sure they will catch fish if you will fish them. I'd love to have a v37 color. It's a red bait with black back. There were severat sizes of "wart baits" the tiny wart, short wart, wiggle wart, flat wart and the mag wart. May have been a few others also.

sizes on short warts only... from 2009BCPII  11/15/2010 11:28:12 AM
I want to know the sizes on short warts only becasue I was told that there are at least two different sizes on the shorts. I want to know what I have on my hands. I suspect that I have the largest size but i want to know what I literally have.

Didn't Storm make like a short version called from Rattler  11/15/2010 12:16:39 PM
a Hot'n Tot or am I thinking of
something else?

Rattler from Jeff Hahn  11/16/2010 8:28:33 AM
Rattler: The Hot N' Tot is a narrower, more elongated bait with a metal diving lip. Lots of walleye anglers use them, but bass will eat them, too.

Can't ever remember having one,
guess that's why I didn't know but,
thought the two were similar...

Ken Cook and he Short Wart from RichZ #11105  11/18/2010 12:14:01 AM
The "Short Wart" was originally a figment of Ken Cook's imagination. He didn't know the name of the Wart he used when he won the Classic at the Chesapeake Bay. It only played a role on the 2nd day, as I recall, but he did use it to crank a limit off a rip rap wall next to the weedbed he caught most of his fish out of. When he mentioned it at the news conference, he called it a short wart. The next day, there was a short wart in the product line.
