State Records
from Jeff Hahn 4/2/2012 10:26:50 AM Rated: Is it just me, or have there been a ton of new state record bass caught this year? It seems like every week I find an article on a bass fishing website showing a new state record being caught. Is this a sign of the apocalypse?

it might be a sign of a very high real unemployment rate at 16%. Lots of folks fishing.

...but other factors may also have influence. Many areas had a drought or semi-drought. This creates major draw downs, which in turn create feeding bonanzas for large bass as the prey are forced into open water and away from cover. More food = bigger bass.

after it was discovered that the guy purchased his fishing license after catching the bass. I was thinking the same thing though, seems like it has been the trend this year for whatever reason.
