    Help On Guntersville please

 Hello,
I posted this on the tactics board so I apologize if this is overkill but I could use some help please.

I am heading to Guntersville in 10 days and was hoping I could get some help on that lake. I live in Georgia and have fished the lake twice but that is where my "experience" ends on the big G. I will be staying in the Browns Creek Highway 69 area near Guntersville Boat Mart. I have a Tracker 17 with a 25 hp motor so long runs are not something I am really set up to do and I am trying to get an idea of where to fish this time of year.

I know people aren't real receptive to giving out actual spots to fish but I was hoping someone could give me an idea of what types of places I should fish. I know that most of the fishing here is related to grass but I don't know if the grass will be up this time of year or if the fish are in deeper water etc.

Any general information you would be willing to share as to how to approach the lake would be most welcome and appreciated. I am not fishing any kind of tournament but just going with a fishing buddy and hoping to get into some good fish.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Y

launch at the Siebol ramp you will have every bit of cover for the fish in that area plus a lot of places to get out of the wind. not sure i,ve spelled Siebol right. good luck i also have a 17' tracker with a 40hp on it and i,ve fished that area for years with out any problem.

Thank you from ystribling  5/9/2011 5:53:39 PM
Thanks KY bass man. I really appreciate the help. Is the fishing there more in the grass or is it structure fishing?

you can do both. It depends on how the grass is coming up when you get there.
