SUBJECT: # 133: Help Identifying a Trout

Submitted by shadwman70 from COLORADO on 6/13/2005 8:35:00 PM

I recently went fishing here in colorado and we caught a bunch of nice rainbows. However, I caught a really nice trout that I have not seen before. It had light pink and blues spots on it and no stripes. It had no scales on it when dressed out and had yellow to orange meat. Can anyone help me identify it?

is it true that a splake trout is half salmon and half speckled trout.
