SUBJECT: # 80: lake trout in Maine (moosehead lake area)

I'm vacationing in the moosehead lake region for two weeks this summer (last wk of July, first of August).
I need advice on fishing the lakes in this region for all types of species.
Anyone familiar with this area

Lucky you!! I think Moosehead is a beautiful area. When I was young we would troll minnows with blades or spoons along the island for Lake Trout and Salmon. There is a outfitter right in town that should be very helpful. I am not sure what they are called right now. Try the Greenville Chamber of Commerce.
